Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist

As child of Kansas City, Kansas, I always wanted to learn what makes the world go around. Along the way, my love of science led me to medicine. My interest in the human story led me to Psychiatry. Parental support, mentorship, drive and dedication to my community propelled me forward. With the strong foundation garnered at Xavier University of Louisiana, I graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine with honors in Psychiatry and Neurology. While in psychiatry residency, I specialized in women’s mental health and perinatal care at the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital prior to returning home to Kansas City in 2010. Over 6 years, I provided care in a number of inpatient and outpatient settings before moving outside of the metro for the next 4 years. In that time I’ve become a wife and a mother and the complexities of womanhood are even more apparent. Now in my return to Kansas City, I am eager to provide my own brand of thoughtful medical care that nurtures strong, resilient women along their path of healing. I am currently licensed to practice in Kansas, Missouri and Michigan. I hope to talk with you soon!
